Chrissy is a qualified accountant and towards the end of 2021 took over as Chair of Trustees having been Treasurer since she joined the Board of Trustees in 2017.  She heads a strong team, the members of which, between them, have a wealth of skills, experience and enthusiasm to lead the organisation forward.

​Chrissy's finance career has included the NHS, local government, the Natural History Museum and fashion! Her work experience has included senior management, strategic planning and change management. She moved from London to Worthing and loves living by the sea.

Chris stepped down from the position of Chair of Trustees towards the end of 2021, when he handed over the position to Chrissy Ryder.  Chris has been a trustee for many years and a very active chair between 1995 and 2021.  He remains on the Board of Trustees in the position of Secretary, where his knowledge and experience will continue to be invaluable. 

Chris was Head of History and Accreditation Manager at Worthing College, he has written two A level text books on modern Russia.  In retirement, his interests include gardening and cricket

Joseph became a trustee in 2020 and towards the end of 2021, took over from Chrissy Ryder as Treasurer when she became the Chair of Trustees.  Joseph will be responsible for providing financial management and guidance to the Board of Trustees.

Joseph works for Adur and Worthing Councils as an Accountant.  He has lived in Worthing all his life apart from a brief period when he moved to Wales. Being away emphasised how much he appreciated life in Worthing and the local community.

Joseph is a very enthusiastic cyclist, enjoying the South Downs and quiet lanes around Sussex.

Corrine is a Human Resources expert with 30 years experience spanning general and strategic HR, in both public and private sectors. As an NLP practitioner and part-qualified Counsellor, Corrine uses her breadth of knowledge to support Asthma UK on a volunteer bases and in her career as HR Manager for a Worthing based Trust.

Corrine is an avid theatre lover and walker, who enjoys socialising with family and friends.

Julia is an experienced counsellor who has worked in hospital, hospice and school settings, including a forensic unit for children in care. She has also taught in several FE colleges, is a fully trained teacher, and has worked with a number of employee assistance programmes. Julia currently works as a therapist in private practice, teaches on an MA, and supervises counsellors and students

Paula joined the team of Trustee's back in 2021.
Paula works for South Downs Leisure as their Digital Media Officer.
As a qualified Hypnotherapist and is currently studying a diploma in Counselling specialising in Grief and Loss.
Paula is also a listening volunteer and deputy director for Worthing Samaritans and Staff Trustee for South Downs Leisure.
